Maybelline Baby Lips Repairing Lip Balm SPF 20 Photos + Review

I received five tubes of the new Maybelline Baby Lips Repairing Lip Balm, but while I was waiting to receive the products, I bought one in "Peach Kiss" as well. I received Pink Punch, Peppermint, Cherry Me, Quenched, and Peach Kiss. I gave Cherry Me and Peach Kiss to friends, and they both love them!I have provided a photo of "Peppermint" on my lips above.

First things first! What's in it?
Shea Butter - repairs and leaves lips feeling soft
Vitamin Complex - Aids in the prevention of oxidation of lip molecules and the restoration of damaged cells
Centella - this small, herbaceous Asian plant delivers plumpness and hydration while replenishing elasticity and stimulating natural production for a line-free look

What Maybelline Claims:
- renews lips to their natural condition in four weeks
- combines eight hours of hydration with an optional color tint
- available in two clear varieties and four tinted varieties
- clinically proven to provide comfort and relief to stressed, dry skin
- protects against UVA/UVB damage
- available at mass retailers for 3.99 USD

My experience:
I used Peach Kiss first because I bought it before I even got my BzzKit*, and I like the color and moisturization, but I dislike the scent/taste. The balm itself looks really good on my skin, and it seems to just add a little bit of shimmer to my lips more than color, and I found my lips felt really smooth and moisturized throughout the day. It smells peachy, but once it is on the lips it smells different and has an odd taste. Soft peach/nude type color with subtle shimmer

Peppermint: Perfect peppermint scent. It doesn't burn like other minty balms I've tried, and to be honest I normally hate peppermint anything, but this one is subtle and nice. It is one of the clear ones, so it only adds a glossy shine to the lips. I find this one to be the most moisturizing out of all the ones I have tried, and I would definitely call it a favorite. It applies more smoothly than the others, and it feels lighter while still moisturizing exceptionally well.

Quenched: This one feels heavy and has a weird taste. It's not supposed to have any tint or scent to it, and tint it lacks, but on the lips it has an odd taste. It moisturizes well, but I suppose I just don't like the lack of scent/flavor to the balm. It feels like it's missing something.

Pink Punch: SUPER pigmented. It's supposed to be a tinted balm, but I find it applies more like a gloss in color. It's a very bright, cool-toned pink, and while it does go onto the lips very sheer, I can see it being a disastrous color for some people. I like bright lip colors, and I don't find this one a problem on myself, so I like it. It simply should be known, however, that this one seems a little more than tinted. The scent is nice. It's very true to its name: fruity and punch-like. This one moisturizes very well.

Overall:
I found little difference in moisturization levels for each balm that I tried, but I definitely favor the Peppermint both for scent and moisturization. I do not understand what Maybelline means by claiming the balm "renews lips to their natural condition", and that's the only comment I have on that aspect of these balms. My lips haven't been sun burned since I've been using them, but I have never had an issue with my lips being sun burned or anything, and that's not something I'm going to test, so I'll trust that the SPF is there. As for eight hours of hydration, no. I would say Peppermint keeps my lips moisturized for the longest period of time, and that's about four and a half to five hours but certainly no more than that. Also, it must be noted that when I say it keeps my lips moisturized, I don't mean they feel glossy and like I just applied a balm. They feel hydrated, like I don't need to apply a balm. That's something I have difficulty finding in all lip balms regardless of price, but considering that these are really inexpensive, that's a huge, huge plus. My lips look and feel better with this balm, so I would recommend these to others.

Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes Photos + Review

The above photo of the mascara on my lashes was taken after I had taken a nap which accounts for the mascara flakes underneath my eye.

What You Should Know:
- America's most iconic mascara brand introduces a new innovative applicator brush -- The Great Little Grabber
- Easily reaches the inner and outer corners of the eye
- Builds your lash look with no clumps
- Available in three washable shades
- Available at mass retailers for 6.40 USD

What Maybelline Claims:
Lots of Lashes features the new Great Little Grabber brush, a heart-shaped applicator that lets you easily reach all of your lashes -- even those pesky ones in the corners -- for a multiplied lash look with no clumps.
No need to let mascara dry between coats
Mascara removes easily with soap and water or makeup remover

My Findings:
Lots of Lashes does provide really nice separation while also giving lots of volume to my lashes, which I find unusual in a mascara. The brush shape really helps to get every lash coated with mascara. The mascara is nicely buildable, and while I do see some clumping, it's not the kind that looks like all of my lashes have stuck together to create what I shall call a uni-lash. The result is long and voluminous looking lashes, and as I have this in the color Very Black, it makes my lashes look very black, true to its name. It removes fairly easily, but I have found that it flakes off during removal, and I end up with little mascara flakes all over my face. I tried removing it with a simple cleanser with water, and that caused the most flaky removal. The best way for me to remove this mascara and minimize my risk of panda eyes or mascara flakes galore is to use a makeup removing wipe and then wash my face. The problem with this method, however, is that I find with a makeup removing wipe I still have to work a bit to remove all of the mascara and all of the flakes of mascara that gather on my lower lash line which causes me to experience irritation in my undereye area. I plan to try using plain olive oil to remove in the future because that is a fail-safe method for removing any eye makeup without irritation. Overall, though, I love this mascara, and I would certainly purchase it of my own accord. I must be honest, however. I would not have tried this mascara if it had not been sent to me free of charge to try. * I recommend it to those who use good eye makeup removers who want good length, separation, and volume in one mascara coupled with a very black color.

about.me customizable, free "splash" page for your content!

The newest BzzCampaign I have joined is called about.me. This is a fully customizable page that allows users to share all online profiles, etc. in one, organized place as well as giving the user feedback (i.e. how many people looked at the page? how much time do you, the user, spend on your own page? etc.). I do not find a personal use for this type of thing, but I suppose if you are starting a business it could be extremely useful.

Even though I do not find it useful for myself, I did play with it, and I made my own page! I was able to use a photo of my own as my background image without the image becoming distorted like on other sites, and I could choose ANY colors I wanted for everything on the page from background to titles. The one problem I found is the font selection: it's very limited, and I had a difficult time choosing a font for my page that I found aesthetically pleasing and to my general tastes. Font aside, users can add ANY websites of which they are members/users to their about.me pages, plus about.me can be connected to a plethora of other social networking sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.). The purpose is to have all of one's social connections available in one place.

As I said, I would only find this useful for business. For personal use, I do not want to make a page from which others may find me anywhere else on the internet. That said, though, the page is fully customizable, so only the sites you want to be shared will be shared.

I hope this is useful!

(and here is my page!

CoverGirl NatureLuxe Liquid Silk Foundation - A Review

I did receive this product to try as a BzzAgent, and to be honest, I would not have bought this for myself. I have never liked CoverGirl foundations, but this one is So different!

What CoverGirl Claims:
-provides a smooth, silky feel
-contains refreshing cucumber water to help balance the creaminess on application
-made with hints of jojoba and rosehip extracts
-available in 14 shades ranging from light to dark tones
-oil-free, SPF 10 and dermatologically tested
-suggested to retail for 11.99 USD

How I Feel:
It does feel extremely smooth and creamy upon application. I cannot comment on the cucumber or other ingredients, but it does have a light, refreshing scent. As for the color range, it's par for the course of drugstore foundations. I would pay the almost twelve dollars for this foundation because it makes my skin look amazing.

I have used it with and without a primer, and either way, it applies extremely smoothly (with fingers) and lasts a very long time. I do have very dry skin, so I am less likely to have any makeup meltdowns, but I chose to test this product by wearing it to a show where I knew I would be in a hot, humid environment, dancing, and sweating. I applied this foundation alone a few hours before the show. I was in a hot, humid room with a whole bunch of other hot, sweaty people sweating myself, and when I came home and looked in the mirror, my makeup looked exactly as it did when I applied it. Not only did this foundation stay on my skin, but it held my blush, contour, and highlight as well. I was amazed!

The reason I dislike most CoverGirl foundations is the undertone in most of them: they have a cool undertone. I have a very warm undertone in my skin, so anything cool will usually look really bad. I have this foundation in the color 320 Aspen, and it definitely has a cool undertone. The difference with this one is that it gives such light coverage that the undertone isn't noticeable. This foundation will not cover any serious skin issues, but it will make the skin look nice. I have found that it is slightly buildable. I can add two layers, and it does not look cakey or gross. It never feels heavy. It really feels like I am not wearing anything on my face, and it looks like I just have really nice, smooth, glowing skin.

I would absolutely recommend this product to others.

Scrubbing Bubbles Continuous Clean Toilet Cleaning Gel

I did receive this for free as a BzzAgent, but I would definitely purchase this of my own accord.

I find this product extremely easy to use, and the scent, called "Fresh Clean", is a nice, clean scent that is not overwhelming (I am very sensitive to scents). It comes in a tube of a gel that doubles as an applicator, and it is used by pressing the end to the inside of the toilet bowl while holding down the button on the side and pushing on the plunger. The first time I used it I had a little trouble, but now I've got the hang of it, and it only takes me a second to apply the gel to the toilet bowl. The gel lasts inside the toilet bowl for a few weeks, and it gradually disappears with each flush of the toilet. I found that it kept my toilet bowl cleaner and shinier between regular toilet bowl cleanings than if I hadn't used it at all. A cap for the end of the tube is also included to cover the gel while the dispenser is not in use, and I really like that added touch. I have always really liked Scrubbing Bubbles products, so I was excited to try this one, and I was not disappointed. I would recommend this to others.

Bzz Bzz Bzz (SC Johnson Smart and Easy Spring Cleaning!)

As I believe I've stated, I am a BzzAgent, so I occasionally receive products to try for free in exchange for reviewing the items. Today I will be reviewing the Scrubbing Bubbles Mega Shower Foamer with Extend-A Clean.

What it claims:
penetrates and dissolves soap scum on contact
wide spray nozzle
leaves a brilliant shine
makes scrubbing "virtually obsolete"

What it does:
The wide spray nozzle allows one to hold the can farther away from the surface to be cleaned, and it does actually spray the delightful foam in a pretty wide area. The problem I found is that in one use 3/4 of the 20 oz. bottle was used for my shower, and all I did was lightly spray the foam over the walls (tiles) and the tub. That said, it cleaned my tub exceptionally well with very little scrubbing on my part. The directions say to spray the foam and let it sit for three minutes before rinsing or wiping it away. So I sprayed it all over, waited, and wiped. I found that the product cleaned the tub a lot better than it cleaned the tiles, but overall my shower looks really nice and clean after one use. Also shiny! I did find that the tiles needed a tiny bit of scrubbing but nothing that would make your arm fall off!
The Extend-A-Clean aspect of this product means that the chemicals that clean the shower are re-activated every time they get wet, so for up to four days after the initial clean, each shower causes the Scrubbing Bubbles to get scrubbing again! I'm not sure how I would test this part, so I will just leave this up to you, the reader, to form an opinion.
The scent is a very light, typical bathroom-cleaner scent with maybe a hint of lemon? It is not strong or overpowering, and it did not irritate my airways or my eyes while I was cleaning.

Overall:
I like this product, and I would definitely purchase this product myself, of my own accord.

I do have a few other products I received in my BzzKit to review, so keep a look out for those!!

What happens to your Facebook after you die?

Sorry the image cuts off -- it's all that stuff on the side!

Anyway, this application on Facebook allows you to plan what will be posted on your Facebook page postmortem, as in letting your Facebook contacts know that you are no longer available. You can set up an heir to your "digital assets" i.e. your Facebook page and any other social networks you might be using. It can also set up a tribute page for you, and it automatically gives all pertinent information to your chosen heir. This seems a little bit morbid, but it's important to have this information available for people to whom you may not speak often, but they still care.

So click the photo above, and check it out!
